What is hypnosis?


Hypnosis is NOT sleep, more a deep state of relaxation. Your brain waves start to slow down. Hypnosis slows our brain waves down to either alpha or, ideally theta, which are states we also experience when about to fall asleep, or when meditating. This is the time when the mind becomes open to re-learning deep-seated beliefs.




Is hypnosis similar to meditation?


Yes, your brain goes into the same state, which can deepen with regular practice. Your brain waves slow down in exactly the same way as in trance. What is different is we use this state to then do some work. Being in the present moment is generally the main goal of most meditation. However, hypnosis goes a step beyond that to provide positive suggestions to retrain our brain




What is hypnotherapy?


It goes far beyond treating insomnia and smoking and can be used for any and all areas of your life where you find you lack self-belief or want to break a habit, let go of the past or come to terms with any events in your life which still cause painful emotions today. It can also be a boost for new habits such as public speaking, sports performance increase and studying habits.




How can I know it will work for me?


Just about everyone can be hypnotized with the exception of people with some conditions such as Attention Deficit Disorder. However, to verify this before you pay a cent up front, why not take our Program Suitability Quiz and see if this will suit you.




What is unique about this program?


Unlike many weight loss guided meditation and hypnosis books and CDs which offer just one (yes, ONE!) recording, we provide 7 core recordings of 30 to 40 minutes each, one for each day of the week PLUS 7 Affirmations and 7 Coaching mp3s each between 10 and 15 minutes length.




How can I get more out of this than other programs?


Diets keep you dependent on external rules so yo are never free. So first you need to align your entire mind around your new healthy living strategy and self-image. This program engages and aligns 100% of your mind.




Does hypnosis weaken the will?


No, hypnosis actually helps you increase your will by aligning your subconscious with what your conscious mind already wants. Hypnosis works with the will, not against it, and you will only accept messages you are ready to believe and which are in your own health's interests




Will I lose control?


No, absolutely not. At every step, you will be in control, since successful hypnotic trances require your cooperation and decision to take on the positive messages to achieve the results that you desire. You can only take on beliefs in alignment with your morals and values




Can I get "stuck" in hypnosis?


No, absolutely not. We recommend that you ensure that you have the full time available uninterrupted to listen to each audio file beginning to end, ideally in a quiet space at home sitting or lying down. If for any reason you don't finish an audio file, the only two possibilities that may occur are: you fall asleep after the audio and come back either through some interruption or in your own time, or you are interrupted and come out of trance




Are there any side effects?


No side effects. The great thing about self-hypnosis and guided meditation is that there is no medication or supplements at all. You are simply tapping into the resources you always had but never knew lay inside of you!! You should finish each audio file feeling very relaxed and may find that you sleep better at night too




Do you guarantee this will work?


No, unfortunately not, the reasons being primarily that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Simply put, we provide the tools but this is very much teamwork and you must decide to utilize them. You only break the negative associations and create positive habits, beliefs and behaviour once you are truly ready and willing to do so Other reasons why we cannot guarantee this program are:

  • you may not wish to really lose weight. Some people use extra weight as protection, to avoid getting attention, or other reasons. These are known in hypnotherapy as "secondary gain".
  • you may not have broken all past negative associations with your unhealthy lifestyle. Some people may have other uncommon reasons for holding on to extra weight
  • you may have a medical condition or be on medication which causes weight gain or prevents you from exercising gently, in which case you should always seek medical advice before undertaking this program. For any suspected or confirmed physical or mental condition you must always check with a physician first
